Monitoring Tsunamis and Earthquakes

Since I moved to Costa Rica I have been paying more attention to earthquakes, even ones that are not here. Early this morning an 8.8 magnitude earthquake hit Chile and now the US government has issued a tsunami warning to Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador and Antarctica.
