You may have noticed that I decided to put some Google ads on my site. I am running a test, and with the recent search traffic I have been getting I wanted to see what would happen. There is only one AdSense ad and it is down by the comments. This way it does not interfere with the content.
I also have Chitika running which only shows ads to search visitors. Again trying not to annoy any of my regular readers.
Privacy Policy
Since I have decided to put Google AdSense on my site, I needed to create a privacy policy, which I did. JenStar from jensense.com has a great write up of the new policies and what we need to do. Check it out
Disclaimer
Doing a privacy policy got me thinking about a disclaimer. Sometimes I am writing clips of code and offering a solution that worked for me to try and help others. But, I guess someone could use the code and then blame me for it.
So now I have a disclaimer as well.
Do you use AdSense? And if you do, did you know you needed a privacy policy?
I had stumbled on the requirement a short while ago. I looked in a few places and cobble one together (and then crossed my fingers that it is good enough!).
@Evan : Yeah me too. I am using a service to check and make sure my domain is never blacklisted, it gives me a little piece of mind.

The new adsense policy has een up for a while. By the way good move on using adsense. Earning potential is tremendous. Might get more pull if it’s above the fold of the page though
