Yankee Pride | My New Tattoo
Friends
For those of you who are my friends will know that I have been a New York Yankees fan for a long time, since Don Mattingly actually (notice the Yankee Blue in the header?). As with any team there are ups and downs and this is no different for my Yankees. I will not give up on them and why should I, we have the most money!
Forrest Pope
I really wanted to send everyone to a kickass website full of great tattoos and artwork, but unfortunately Forrest Pope is an artist without a webpage. Oh well, he will have to start with my tattoo.
I really wanted the Yankees logo on my leg, so I gave it to Forrest and let him come up with a design. I am very happy with the detail and finished work.

The top part was the worse. It took less than 3 hours, with little stops to change ink color. Shading the red on the top, ouch..
I know I told you somewhere I love it. Bright and vivid colors. I like the scene with the letters. Very creative.

Yeah, I had a lot of messages, so I couldn’t get to them all. Was going to try this morning. I am really happy with the tat, and the city inside looks great. So you’ve been playing a lot of golf lately?

Hi Jim – I’m not a huge tattoo fan. I change my mind about stuff, so I’d wind up trying to change something I didn’t like anymore – kind of like how Johnny Depp had to Change his Winona Forever tattoo to Wino Forever.
But I like this one – it’s v artistic. I like how he’s incorporated the buildings of New York into the lettering.
That’s a good one. I don’t think I will hate the Yankees, so I should be good. I was really happy with Forest’s design..
